About this circuit
The Euro-Ring is in Örkény, in Pest county, Hungary, 52 km from Budapest: 2.75 km of track. The operator describes it as extremely technical, and its construction allows several layout variants. The pit straight is 330 m long, for around 180 km/h at the end. The track is 12 m wide on this straight and 10 m on average elsewhere, on asphalt 9 cm thick. Every sequence of corners is lined with gravel traps or tyre walls. An experienced rider laps in between 1'25" and 1'33", an expert rider between 1'18" and 1'25". Motorcycle days are booked in advance, and the minimum age is 14 years, only with a valid licence. From the M5 motorway, the Örkény exit at kilometre post 52 leads directly to the site entrance. The car park has around 350 spaces on 7,000 m² of milled asphalt. The paddock lines up 24 renovated garage boxes, available for hire on motorcycle days; electricity is not included and is paid for as an extra at reception. A terrace overlooks the whole track. A rebuilt snack bar provides catering. The site opens from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, depending on the events. No dB value is published: the general terms require an exhaust that complies with the noise rules in force at the circuit. Full-face helmet, back protector, full leather suit with protectors, gloves and motorcycle boots are mandatory; motorcycle jeans and hiking boots are refused. Wheels of 17 inches minimum, mirrors removed or taped over, brakes and tyres in perfect condition, valid licence and compliance with FIM/FIA flags. The price and the noise limit applied are shown on each track day's page.
