Motorcycle track days and open sessions at Circuit Mallory Park

Mallory Park, at Kirkby Mallory in Leicestershire (England), runs over 2.269 km clockwise. The operator publishes neither an official length nor a number of corners, but its map names each section. Kirkby Straight, the pit straight with the start in front of Race Control, leads to Gerard's Bend, a wide curve to the south, then to Charlie's Chicane and Stebbe Straight on the west side. Edwinas Chicane precedes The Esses and the climb to the hairpin (Hairpin) in the north-east; the return passes through Devils Elbow and Bus Stop Chicane. Lakes occupy the inside of the layout. An experienced rider laps in 1'10" to 1'17", an expert rider in 1'04" to 1'10". The lap is short and is decided between the wide curve of Gerard's Bend and the hairpin. Access from the M1 (junction 21) or the M69 (junction 3) via the B4114, then the B582 to the A47; Hinckley station is 5 miles away. Competitors' entrance via Bosworth Road, with ample parking. The garages run along Kirkby Straight on the lake side, with scrutineering and Race Control. Showers on site. The Lakeside Diner & Bar, a permanent restaurant by the lake in the paddock, provides catering. A Medical Centre appears on the map near the footbridge. According to the circuit's regulations, the operator's test days are limited to 105 dB(A) static under the ACU procedure, with a drive-by check on Kirkby Straight calibrated to the static level; they require an ACU licence. There are no specific regulations for track days open to all; for the novice days it advertises, the circuit asks for an ACU-approved helmet, one-piece leathers or 2-piece leathers with a full zip, and leather gloves.
