About this circuit
The Circuit de la Michetterie, at Fontenay-le-Comte in the Pays de la Loire, is the small track of the Circuits de Vendée: 1,083 m long and 7 m wide, FFSA and FFM approved. At 7 m, it is narrow: every overtake has to be planned. The track is used for racing and leisure, road safety training, a riding school for children, events and electric vehicle testing. A 4x4 off-road area is adjacent to it, as is Fontenay-le-Comte aerodrome. A beginner laps between 0'50" and 1'00". An experienced rider laps between 0'38" and 0'43". The Circuits de Vendée welcome riders all year round. The site is on the A83, junction 8. Allow 45 min from Niort or La Roche-sur-Yon, 1 h from La Rochelle, 1 h 15 min from Nantes or Poitiers, 1 h 45 min from Angers and 2 h 30 min from Bordeaux. By train, the TGV links Paris-Montparnasse to Niort in 2 h 10 min. On site, the clubhouse offers an 80 m² reception room and a 100 m² terrace, with changing rooms, toilets and wifi. According to the circuit rules, the Circuits de Vendée track days impose a maximum of 95 dB, with no measuring method specified. You must be registered, hold circuit third-party liability insurance (RC Circuit) and sign the internal rules. Equipment consists of a full-face helmet, a one-piece motorcycle suit or a zip-together jacket and trousers, with back protector, gloves and motorcycle boots. An environmental mat is required. The price and the noise limit applied are shown on each track day's page.
