About this circuit

The Nürburgring is at Nürburg, in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany): the full Grand-Prix-Strecke, with the AMG Arena and chicane, measures 5.148 km for 17 corners, 7 left-handers and 10 right-handers, run clockwise. The track is 10 to 25 m wide and climbs from 604 m, at the low point of the Goodyear-Kehre, to 627.75 m at the start of the start/finish straight. The map names the RAVENOL-S, the AMG Arena, the Goodyear-Spange, the Michael-Schumacher-S, the Falkenbogen, a full-throttle right-hander and the fastest corner of the layout, then the Veedol-Schikane, which exists in a tight version and in a more flowing motorcycle variant. Short variants: Sprintstrecke 3.629 km, Müllenbachschleife 1.489 km. In open track sessions, motorcycles do not go onto the Nordschleife: only onto the Grand-Prix-Strecke, with reserved slots. An experienced rider laps in 2'34" to 2'48", an expert rider in 2'22" to 2'34". In the operator's open track sessions, no timing is allowed. Three motorways lead there: the A1 from Cologne, the A48 from Trier or Luxembourg (Ulmen exit), the A61 from Koblenz (Wehr exit); GPS 53520 Nürburg, Otto-Flimm-Straße. The pit lane is 16 m wide over 381.40 m. For food: LUCIA Pollo Italiano and the Bitburger Gasthaus on site, and the Nuvolari restaurant at the Nürburgring Congress Hotel. A Medical Center is integrated into the Grand-Prix-Strecke. In open track sessions, two limits apply: 95 dB(A) in near-field static measurement and 130 dB(A) of sound power on drive-by; exceeding them means exclusion without refund, and modified exhausts are banned. StVZO-compliant motorcycle required, rider aged 18 minimum with a valid licence, full protective clothing, keep right and overtake on the left, with drifting, stopping and U-turns forbidden. The price and the noise limit applied are shown on each track day's page.
