About this circuit
Circuit Zolder is located at Heusden-Zolder, in Limburg, Belgium: 3.977 km of track, which the site rounds up to 4 km, run clockwise, with the Thierry Boutsen chicane as a landmark. It sits at the junction of the E313 and the E314, less than 100 km from Antwerp, Brussels, Liège, Aachen and Eindhoven. An experienced rider laps in 1'59" to 2'10", an expert rider in 1'50" to 1'59". Motorcycle track sessions fall under the B/C days, hired out to third parties: a maximum of 40 motorcycles on track, never mixed with cars. The grounds open from 7:30 to 21:00 on B/C days. The paddock is divided into zones 0 to 5, the garage boxes lock with a key against a deposit, and the pit lane is limited to 50 km/h. On site: toilets, showers, used oil collection and a petrol station in paddock 4, payable by card. Overnight stays on site are in principle forbidden at one-day events, with an exemption possible only in paddock 5. The Taverne Otobar, near the starting grid, serves snacks and meals during races and on request; no third party may sell food on the grounds. The noise limit on B/C days is 98 dB(A) LAmax on drive-by, measured around 7 m from the track edge and 1.5 m above the ground; no static limit is published. One offence means a black flag, a second means exclusion for the day and a 2-month ban. You need a full-face helmet with visor, full motorcycle equipment suited to the circuit, an absorption silencer mounted in line, the circuit's transponder and numbers of 17 cm minimum on 3 sides. In the paddock: 30 km/h maximum. The price and the noise limit applied are shown on each track day's page.
