About this circuit
The Circuit de Chenevières, in Chenevières in the Grand Est, measures 3.5 km. A second 2.5 km configuration is used for riding courses and manufacturer testing. The 2 layouts are CNECV-homologated for speeds of over 200 km/h, and the 3.5 km has hosted motorcycles since 2009. You will find left- and right-hand hairpins, fast curves and varied sequences of corners. The 700 m straight allows you to exceed 200 km/h. The track is 10 to 15 m wide, with large run-off areas. A beginner rider laps between 2'07" and 2'27". An experienced rider laps between 1'44" and 1'53". The circuit is 30 min from Nancy, 1 h from Metz, 1 h 20 min from Strasbourg and less than 2 h from Luxembourg. The 40-hectare site includes a 400-space car park. Track sessions generally run from 9:00 to 17:00, with a break from 12:00 to 14:00, Monday to Saturday. A caterer comes in on request for events; no permanent catering is announced for track days. The medical service is provided by the circuit: at least one first-aid ambulance and 2 ambulance crew, plus a doctor for motorcycle track sessions. Motorcycle days are organised by clubs. According to the circuit regulations, every machine goes through the sound level meter: 95 dBA maximum static, at 75% of maximum revs, meter at 50 cm from the exhaust at a 45° angle. No exception is granted for standard exhausts. The track takes 35 motorcycles at most and 105 over the day. The circuit does not publish a rider equipment list.
