About this circuit
The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is in Imola, in Emilia-Romagna (Italy): 4.936 km run anticlockwise. The layout is hilly, with around 33 m of elevation change between the low point, at 38.48 m above sea level, and the Piratella, at 71.80 m. The radii range from 561 m at the first corner to 14 m in the Gresini. The sections bear their official names: Variante Tamburello, Variante Villeneuve, Tosa, Piratella, Acque Minerali, Gresini, Rivazza, then the Variante Bassa, the chicane in front of the pits built in 2009 for FIM homologation. An experienced rider laps in between 2'28" and 2'42", an expert rider between 2'17" and 2'28". The motorcycle record belongs to Carlos Checa (Ducati) in 1'47"934, in the 2011 Superbike World Championship. The circuit is a few kilometres from Bologna. Two paddocks: Paddock 1 of 13,200 m² and Paddock 2 of 30,000 m², each with a medical centre and a signalling tower. The track can be used from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 14:30 to 18:30. Fuel storage is limited to the strict needs of the day and vehicle testing in the paddock is not allowed without agreement. The Centro Medico is backed up by a heliport, and defibrillators are spread around the grounds. The general regulations provide for sound level checks on request, with no published dB value. The rider must be of legal age, unless there is a written exemption, sign a waiver and present a valid licence on request. Full-face helmet, leather suit with protectors, back protector, approved gloves and boots are mandatory, pillion included. On-board cameras are not allowed without authorisation, first laps at reduced speed, and you do not pick up your fallen bike until the others have stopped. The price and the noise limit applied are shown on each track day's page.
